sWebApps lets you build an iPhone webapp in minutes

sWebapps is one of the fastest way to build an iPhone app.. not to be called an iPhone app though it looks like the same and you download from Appstore. What it creates is a web app for iPhone.

To me it is similar to creating a link on my home page for a website. But this does not open up the Safari app. This is nothing but an app which has nothing but a fullscreen browser which takes users directly to your webpage designed specifically for iPhone (Probably using the iPhone webkit).

I am not sure about how the submission of app part works. I personally feel that is the pain point because Apple's site doesn't accept my binary. I am yet to debug what's actually going wrong.

Though it does not get a wow, sWebapps is the first SDK out of apple for developing iPhone webapps as easy as 1,2,3

see a demo of how to, here:

CSS - The C of Site Styles

I read about CSS some 5-6 years back. Then I thought this is just snippets of code using which I can format my webpage. But now on the web I see that all I thought which can be done only with graphical images and Adobe flash for things like the nice curved box with a shadow and small neat animations for menus and other objects on the page are now being achieved through CSS. Most of us know that AJAX is what drives the web smooth now. But CSS is one another silent winner which delivers you pleasing UI without the heavy weight JPEGs & SWFs. CSS is a simple language (or a supporting language instead) which can be used wisely to delivery rich user interfaces. My blog which you are reading now is designed using CSS. But there is much more you can do with it.

I quite enjoyed surfing through this site. Especially the concepts section, as it had nice pics. As I surfed through, I noticed that this site was created by "Hello Monday", a Webby winner. Worth looking into (don't miss the concepts section)
